Parish road repairs scheduled for C.B. Byrd and Horseshoe Drive

Long-awaited road improvements are set to begin on C.B. Byrd Road and Horseshoe Drive, according to the Sabine Parish Road Department.

The project will include milling, re-oiling, and resurfacing both roads, with work scheduled to be completed before the start of the upcoming school year.Motorists traveling through the area should expect temporary delays during construction and are encouraged to slow down, as crews will be working on the roadway and fresh oil will be applied as part of the resurfacing process. Drivers are also asked to give workers plenty of space to safely complete the project.

Parish officials noted that the repairs are being funded through revenue collected from pipeline-related road damage, meaning no additional local taxpayer funds are being used for the improvements.

The project is expected to improve driving conditions for residents while restoring roadways that have experienced significant wear and damage.
