Zwolle Museum hosts special exhibit highlighting Sabine River communities

ZWOLLE, La. — The Zwolle Museum on the Bend is hosting a temporary exhibit exploring the history of the Pine Flat, Louisiana, and Robertson Bend, Texas, communities.

Noted Sabine County historian Weldon McDaniel created 20 large display panels highlighting the farms, homes, churches and families that helped shape the communities along the Sabine River. Each panel measures 3 feet by 6 feet.

The exhibit will remain on display for three weeks, giving visitors a limited opportunity to learn about the area and the generations who called it home.

The Zwolle Museum on the Bend is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, and the exhibit is open to the public.
