
A Sabine Parish student is being recognized for her outstanding performance at the LSU AgCenter State Livestock Show held in Gonzales.
McClay Montgomery represented Sabine Parish and earned several honors in the goat competition, highlighting her dedication and skill in livestock exhibition.
Montgomery was awarded 3rd Place Overall Goat Premier Exhibitor, along with a 5th Place finish in Goat Showmanship. She also earned multiple individual class awards, including 2nd Place in Class with Ideclare, 3rd Place in Class with Cookie, and 5th Place in Class with Clover.
The LSU AgCenter State Livestock Show is one of the premier youth agricultural events in the state, giving students the opportunity to showcase their livestock, develop responsibility, and gain valuable experience through competition.
Local supporters praised Montgomery’s achievements, noting that her success reflects many hours of hard work and commitment both in caring for her animals and competing in the show ring.
