Town of Many plans full month of fall activities for October

The Town of Many is preparing for a busy October filled with family-friendly entertainment, movies, music, fall festivities and Halloween activities.

Town officials released the October community calendar, highlighting several events planned throughout the month, including Music in Many, Movies in Many, the annual Many Fall Fest and the town’s large Trick-or-Treat celebration.

October activities will begin Saturday, Oct. 3, with Music in Many at 7 p.m. at the Many Community Center. The evening will feature Flashback, performing a tribute to rock and roll from the 1950s and 1960s.

Movies in Many will return later in the month with several seasonal selections. “Hotel Transylvania” will be shown at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, followed by “The Addams Family” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. Both screenings will be held at the Many Community Center.

The Many Fall Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17. A movie will be shown at the Many Community Center beginning at 4 p.m., followed by Fall Fest activities in the Town Square from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Booth registration for Fall Fest will remain open through Oct. 10, while food truck registration has already closed. Those interested in participating in the Chili Cook-Off should contact Community Bank in Many by Oct. 14.

Fall Fest attendees are also invited to participate in the “Spirits of 1776” Costume Contest, with participants encouraged to dress in their best American history-inspired costumes.

Another Movies in Many event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Many Community Center, featuring “The Wannabes Wanted.”

Halloween celebrations will close out the month with the Town of Many’s Trick-or-Treat activities. Participating businesses will welcome trick-or-treaters Friday, Oct. 30, from 3 to 5 p.m., while participating neighborhoods will host trick-or-treating Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Town officials are also looking ahead to the Christmas season. Vendor registration is open for the first annual weekend-long

Moonlight Madness and Christmas Festival, and registration is also available for the Many Merry Christmas Pageant.
