Sabine Parish 4-H encourages high school students to apply for ag ambassador program

SABINE PARISH, La. — High school 4-H members in Sabine Parish have an opportunity to expand their agricultural knowledge and leadership skills through the Northwest Region Ag Ambassador Program.

The program is open to 4-H members entering grades 9-12 and offers students a chance to connect with professionals in the agriculture industry, explore college and career pathways, and learn best practices in the field.

According to the Sabine Parish AgCenter, the 2026-2027 Ag Ambassador Program will provide youth with special experiences designed to strengthen their understanding of agriculture while building relationships across the region and state.

Previous Ag Ambassador tours and experiences have included visits to a deer farm, lumber yard, Angola prison, greenhouses, LSU campus, equestrian center, and several other agricultural sites.

Although the promotional photo lists an August 7 deadline, Sabine Parish applications are due to Mrs. Julia for review by Monday, August 3.

Students interested in applying should email Mrs. Julia Campbell at jcampbell@agcenter.lsu.edu to request an application.

The Sabine Parish AgCenter encourages eligible high school 4-H members to take advantage of this opportunity to grow as leaders, explore future careers, and gain hands-on insight into Louisiana’s agricultural industry.
