— — ZWOLLE, La – The Zwolle Ministerial Alliance will hold a town meeting for prayer and encouragement.
Zwolle Chief of Police and local pastor Daniel Thomas will help host the newly implemented monthly prayer meeting for the Town of Zwolle.
Following the ice storms and water issues the town faced last month, Thomas felt it was imperative to bring the town together more regularly to bring encouraging words in a time of uncertainty.
Daniel Thomas had the following to say about this new addition to the town’s calendar:
“This is a vision that God has given me to do this once a month. Our community is scared and people are hurt. We have had a pandemic with covid and a crisis during the ice storm and so many other things. People are starting to walk by sight and not by faith. It’s our job as pastors to share the goodness of God with his people to let them know that God is still in control and he hasn’t forsaken them. Encourage them and also pray for them. Also to encourage them to cast all burdens on God because he cares for us. We want them to know that the battle isn’t theirs! The battle is the Lords’”
While this is a prayer meeting, Thomas wants the town, and surrounding areas, to know that all are welcome. This will be an event of uplifting, encouragement, and community for everyone that attends regardless of beliefs.
This second monthly meeting will be held at the Zwolle Festival Grounds at 5pm on Thursday, March 18th.
