It was a championship week for Florien basketball as two Blackcat boys teams brought home titles following a hard-fought week on the court.
The Florien 5th and 6th Grade Boys captured their championship in dramatic fashion, defeating Many, 22-21, on a last-second shot to secure the title.
The excitement continued for the 7th and 8th Grade Boys, who defeated Hornbeck in the championship game to give Florien its second title of the week.
The victories capped off a successful stretch of basketball for the Blackcats, with both teams battling their way through competition to finish as champions.
Florien celebrated the players for their hard work and the way they represented their school throughout the tournament.
School supporters also recognized the coaches, parents, fans, administrators, faculty and staff who supported the teams throughout their championship runs.
With both squads finishing on top, Florien ended the week with two teams and two championships, giving Blackcat fans plenty to celebrate.
