ZWOLLE, La. — The Zwolle Museum on the Bend has temporarily closed its doors while repairs are made to address water damage and air conditioning issues at the facility.

Museum officials announced Aug. 20 that the closure is expected to last for the next few weeks while the problems are addressed.

A specific reopening date has not yet been announced.

Despite the temporary closure, museum officials are already looking ahead to a special exhibit planned for October.

The upcoming exhibit will celebrate 50 years of the Zwolle Tamale Fiesta, highlighting the history and traditions surrounding one of Sabine Parish’s best-known annual celebrations.
