FLORIEN, La. — Florien High School is welcoming six educators to its faculty family as the school begins a new academic year.
The new faculty members will serve in a variety of instructional and coaching roles at the junior high and high school levels

Reagan Wascom joins the school as an agriculture teacher and is also carpentry certified.

Morgan Alford will serve as a junior high teacher and softball coach, while Chase Manning joins the faculty as a junior high teacher.

Amanda Young will serve as a junior high English teacher.

Bobby Armstrong joins Florien High School as a high school teacher and varsity basketball coach.

Rounding out the group is Sonia Smith, who will serve as an instructional coach.

Florien High School welcomed the new faculty members with the message, “New faces. New energy. Same Blackcat pride.”

School officials said the educators’ talent, passion and dedication will help Florien High continue its work of inspiring and empowering students throughout the school year.
