Brenda Gail Rains

Brenda Gail Rains passed from this life and into eternity on Friday, June 5, 2026. Brenda was born on February 8, 1958, to Ronald and Barbara Rains.

Brenda enjoyed a variety of activities throughout her life. From her early days, she embraced a passion for sports, horses, and God’s creation. She absolutely loved her cat named Lily Pearl. One of her fondest memories of riding was on her horse, Dolly, and competing in barrel racing. The freedom of riding and the bond she shared with Dolly remained a cherished part of her life and reflected the independent spirit that defined her. Brenda wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. From her early years, working for her father at the sawmill to continuing in the timber industry for RoyOMartin and Boise Cascade to starting her own trucking company. However, Brenda’s first love was always her family. Especially her two sons, Johnathon Strahan and Wesley Greer. Those who blessed her life include her parents, Ronald and Barbara Rains; sister, Holly Richards; nephew, Zachary Richards; granddaughter, Lacy Strahan; and lastly, Tukker and Landi.

Funeral services were held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 9891 Texas Hwy, Many, Louisiana on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. A burial followed at Old Pisgah Cemetery, 15192 Hwy 120, Marthaville, Louisiana. Officiated by Reverend McManus.

Services and care were provided to the family by Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana.
