Glenda Fay Beason, age 77, passed away peacefully June 2, 2023 due to cancer. She was born December 22, 1945 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Jimmy Pleasant and Effie Knippers Pleasant.
She attended Mt. Carmel High School in Florien, Louisiana, where she met her best friend and high school sweetheart, Royce “Sam” Beason. They were married on October 14, 1963.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Effie Pleasant; her brother, Jimmy Ray Pleasant; her sister, Mildred Tanton; and her first grandchild, Lacy Lee Keele. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam and her four children, Sherry Garcie and husband, Ricky, Dewayne Beason and wife, Tia, Randall Beason and wife, Kim, and Brad Beason and wife, Laura; her sisters, Dorothy Anderson of Florien, LA and Betty Knippers of Leesville, LA. She was cherished and loved by her 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
