Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office Hosts Training Class

The Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office hosted a training class the last two days for approximately 70 law enforcement officers from across Sabine Parish.

Topics included Louisiana state law, court testimony, report writing, Miranda Rights, traffic stops, search and seizure, evidence, domestic violence and sexual assaults.

Assistance District Attorneys Jim Seaman and Anna Garcie stressed how important it is for officers to be professional, courteous and thoroughly collect information to complete a case.

Sheriff Aaron Mitchell continues to keep a close-working relationship with the District Attorney’s Office and the city police departments across the parish.
