— — FLORIEN, La – Sabine Parish town will be the spot for the first annual Women’s Day Conference.
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate and gather in fellowship then this will be the perfect event for you. Local female entrepreneur MistiDawn Lee has organized the first annual Women’s Day Conference after years of being felt called to do so. This “day filled with love, laughter, and women’s MESS”, according to MistiDawn, will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Florien Civic Center.
The Women’s Day Conference will be led by MistiDawn and feature speakers Olivia Remedies, Lauren Chance, along with worship leader Macy Veulman. Guests can expect to hear uplifting and encouraging testimonies from the women as well as joyous worship. There will also be lunch, door prizes, and breakout sessions throughout the day.
MistiDawn is excited to bring this event to the area after feeling led to do so in 2017. After three years of mulling over the idea, she finally decided to dive in and didn’t look back. She says that though she is the “least qualified for this job” of leading women she knows it is her calling and feels honored to be able to do so even in a small way.
Lee says “I’m not perfect by any means. I don’t want people to think that’s what I’m portraying. I don’t want this conference to be perceived that way either. This is for the mess we all try to hide, as women. This is about rising from the ashes of life to become the women God intended; and I truly believe ‘perfect’ was never in that description.”
