ZWOLLE, La – Follow-Up:

At the exciting and much anticipated Senior Night at Zwolle High School each senior athlete was awarded their autographed basketball, a yellow rose to symbolize their school, and gifts from their coaches and classmates as well as family. One at a time, each senior was honored by having their moment in the spotlight to highlight their family, their achievements in athletics, and their future plans.

Lady Hawk Basketball:

Jayla Richard: Jayla is the daughter of Soraya Garner and Troy Thomas. She has been basketball manager for two years. Her future plans are to attend the University of Louisiana Monroe to earn a degree in Education.

Summer Faust: Summer is the daughter of Kristi and Nic Faust. She has been a basketball manager for one year. Her future plans are to attend Centenary college majoring in Pre-Med.

Madasyn Ebarb: Madison is the daughter of Anthony and Kristine Ebarb. She has played basketball for four years. Her future plans are to attend Northwestern State University to earn a bachelor’s degree in Health/ Exercise Science to become a physical therapy assistant.

Cheerleaders:

Starasia Mullen: Starasia Mullen is the daughter of Audrey Turner and Bobby Williams. She has been a cheerleader for three years. Her future plans are to attend Bossier Parish Community College and study to become a physical therapy assistant.

Raina Phathong: Raina is the daughter of Ginger Martinez and Buddy Phathong. She has been a cheerleader for three years. Her future plans are to attend Bossier Parish Community College majoring in Biology to become a physical therapy assistant.

Shanya Owens: Shanya is the daughter of Kimberly Owens. She has been a cheerleader for two years. Her future plans are to attend McNeese State University and become a NICU nurse.

Kayla Davis: Kayla is the daughter of Candace Davis. She has been a cheerleader for four years. Her future plans are to attend the University of Louisiana Lafayette to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Hawks Basketball:

Avsalon (AO) Wysinger: AO is the son of Sinissia Wysinger and Brandon Garner. He has played basketball for two years. His future plans are to attend Louisiana Tech and major in computer engineering.

Jalan McGee: Jalan is the son of Latringa Mcgee. He has played basketball for two years. His future plans are to enlist in the Army and attend Louisiana State University.

Corbyn McGee: Corbyn is the son of Melinda Jones. He has played basketball for two years. His future plans are to attend Northwestern State University and major in Health and Exercise Science.

Padreon White: Padreon in the son of Sandra White. He has played basketball for four years. His future plans are to attend Northwestern State University.

Jermicah Ford: Jermicah is the son of Melinda Ford. He has played basketball for four years. His future plans are to graduate and become a driller in the oilfield.

Local senior athletes are preparing to celebrate their final regular season home game with Senior Night on Thursday, February 11th, 2021.

Every year each school in the parish has their own form of celebration for the seniors that have both played on and led their teams to victories time and time again. This week, the Hawks and Lady Hawks of Zwolle High School will get their turn to take part in this time-honored tradition.

With weeks of preparation going into making the game incredible, down to the beautifully made autograph basketball they will be presented, this game is set to be one for the books. The seniors to be honored, eleven in total, are excited to finally get the night they have watched other seniors celebrate for the last three years of their athletic and school careers.

In a school that strives for excellence, the Zwolle High School athletic department showcases some of the best athletes in the area. With celebration and honor in mind, Coach Bradley McLaren, principal of Zwolle High School, along with Coach Jeremy Leach and Cheer Sponsor and Coach Cindy Lewing are proud to present these eleven seniors with their gifts of achievement at tomorrows game. The following seniors are set to be presented with their autographed basketballs which they will then be able to present to their parents.

The game will be played in the gym at Zwolle High School. Tickets will be sold today and tomorrow, though anyone wanting to attend is encouraged to purchase their tickets quickly as this will be full game!
