Sabine Sheriff’s Office responds to burglary

According to the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 1PM today, Nov. 4, residents reported a burglary of a home near them on Hwy. 174, East of Pleasant Hill. The victims had video surveillance in their home which transmits to their cellular phones. The victims contacted the neighbors who contacted Chief Deputy Brad Walker to report the burglary in progress. Sabine Parish Sheriff Units were dispatched and the neighbors traveled to the house also. The neighbors saw the two subjects leave the house and gave a description of them and their vehicle.

Sheriff Units and Pleasant Hill Police Chief Ray Williams initiated a pursuit of the vehicle for approximately 15 miles. The two subjects were apprehended in a wooded area off of Cedar Grove Road. Both subjects were arrested and booked in to the Sabine Parish Detention Center on various charges. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the quick actions of the citizens and Chief Williams for assistance with the case.
