Sabine Parish Sheriff Attends High School D.A.R.E. Graduation

Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell attended Florien High School D.A.R.E. Graduation on Dec. 6.
 
Students completed a 10-week course with lessons on the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, peer pressure, bullying, and making smart choices under D.A.R.E. Instructor and SRO Steven Myers.
 
Each student was required to complete a workbook during class and write an essay about what he/she learned in D.A.R.E. and how they plan on using it in the future to make smart decisions.
 
One student from each class was chosen as a workbook winner and best essay winner.
 
Workbook winners were Cannon Alford and Jailee Twine. Essay winners were Gunner Rivers and Blakeleigh Hall.
 
Sheriff Mitchell congratulated all of these students and encouraged them to make smart decisions in the future.
