This morning AirEvac 160 joined South Sabine Fire Department for training out at the Toro Training Facility.
The team was able to tour the inside of the helicopter, learn basic on-site scene safety when loading a patient, required LZ size and potential hazards when landing a helicopter.
The district works numerous calls that require care/transport from AirEvac units and it’s extremely important for volunteers to know the correct way to set up and LZ and the do’s and don’ts while on scene.
