To all the citizens of Zwolle I think it’s time as your Chief of Police, I let you know what’s going on. I have been silent long enough!
I have certain council members that are trying to cut my man power at the police department. They want me to take my resource officer out of the school and lay off 4 of my officers.
Did the police department go over the budget? Yes we did but, it was well needed and can be justified. We were down to one car to patrol in and we needed the new units that were purchased. We had a lot of overtime because we were training new officers.
I can’t successfully protect our kids at school and our citizens of this town with four officers. When you don’t think we need two officers per shift I don’t think you need to be on the town council any longer. If you want one man to patrol this whole town evidently you don’t care about the citizens safety or the officers safety.
I AM ASKING WHEN YOU GO TO THE POLLS ON NOVEMBER 8TH THAT YOU VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR TOWN, SCHOOL, CITIZENS, AND OFFICERS.
