Veterans Day Pow Wow, Native American Art Fest this Saturday

The Choctaw Apache Tribe of Ebarb will hold a Veterans Day Pow Wow and Native American Art Fest on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Choctaw Apache Tribal Grounds, located at 217 Gene Knight Rd. In Noble.

A Native American mass will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5 pm at St. Ann’s in Ebarb. A Veterans Dinner will be served following in the Parish Hall. All Veterans are invited.

Saturday events include:

11 AM Gourd

1 PM Grand Entry

4 PM Dinner

6 PM Grand Entry & Social Dancing

Saturday’s Art Fest Contest includes categories like art, sausage, fry bread, canned goods, tamales, and wild game. All entries are due by 10 am and winners will be announced after grand entry at 12. Wild game first place $200. First place sausage, fry bread, canned goods, and tamales-$100.

The Choctaw Apache Powwow is a celebration of Native American Culture; enjoy traditional dancing, unique craft items, jewelry, and Indian Fellowship.

All dancer and guest drums are welcome.

This is a drug and alcohol free event. No coolers allowed. The general public is invited to attend.
