Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell and several Sabine Parish Sheriff Deputies participated in Many Elementary School’s 2nd Annual First Grade Career Fair the morning of Oct 31.
This Halloween season, the school celebrated “Community Helpers”, and first graders were encouraged to dress up as an admired community helper: policeman, soldier, doctor, fireman, teacher, etc.
While dressed as community helpers, students had the opportunity to role play various jobs of our most valued
citizens, learn fun facts, create crafts, and had a unique opportunity to interact with local heroes.
Sabine Parish Sheriff Mitchell, SRO Sgt James Campbell, T.N.T. Agent Trevor Beason, Detectives Shelly Sepulvado, and Don Flores spoke to the kids and answered questions.
Sheriff Mitchell recited the oath of office to the students and declared them Sabine Parish Sheriff Junior Deputies.
Many Mayor Robert Hable, Central Sabine Fire Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries, and other community businesses participated in the event.
Sheriff Mitchell and his Staff thank Many Elementary School for the opportunity to represent a positive impact of law enforcement to these First Graders.
