Suspect Arrested for Theft of Firearms

Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell reports arrests made in the burglary and theft of firearms from a residence on Boleyn Road discovered on Sept. 23.
 
Camron Lee Barmore, age 18, of Pleasant Hill was arrested and initially charged with
• Illegal possession of stolen firearms. His bond was set at $250,000 by the 11th Judicial District Court.
Barmore was later booked for:
• Simple burglary
• Theft $5,000-$25,000
• 137-counts of Theft of a firearm
• Illegal possession of stolen firearms
• Simple criminal damage to property $1,000-$50,000.
 
Bond is pending for these charges. He is still in jail.
 
Ray Lee Scott Jr (age-20) of Mansfield was arrested and charged with:
• Theft > $25,000
• Theft of a motor vehicle
• 137-counts of Theft of a firearm
• 3-counts of Illegal possession of stolen firearms
• Simple criminal damage to property $,1000-$50,000.
 
No bond by the 11th Judicial District Court. He is still in jail.
 
Quantavious Qwinshawn McCray (age-20) of Pleasant Hill was charged with:
• Illegal possession of stolen things < $1000 (misdemeanor).
 
He was released.
 
A 15-year-old male juvenile from Zwolle and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Many were each charged with:
• Simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling
• Theft of a motor vehicle
• Theft of a firearm
• Simple criminal damage to property $1,000-$50,000.
 
Both are incarcerated at the Ware Youth Center in Coushatta pending a later court date by the 11th Judicial District Court.
 
Chief Deputy Brad Walker commends Sabine Parish Sheriff Detectives for their hard work, long hours, and persistence over the last week and a half in this case.
 
Sabine CID Digital Forensics Unit has obtained search warrants for digital devices and third-party applications and is processing the data.
 
Sabine Parish Sheriff Special Operations Group (S.O.G.) was instrumental in the execution of several searches in the parish.
 
Chief Deputy Walker also thanks local agencies for their help, especially Bossier Parish Sheriff Detectives for traveling to Coushatta to obtain vehicle forensic information from the victim’s vehicle.
 
This investigation is still ongoing, and more arrests and search warrants are forthcoming.
 
Several firearms, numerous ammunition, magazines, illegal narcotics and other items have been recovered so far.
