Special Veterans Day Mass and Historical Marker Dedication to be Held at St John the Baptist

On Thursday, November 11th, parishioners and guests will come together at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Many to dedicate and unveil the historical marker, recently approved by the State of  Louisiana. Bishop Francis Malone, Bishop of the Diocese of Shreveport,  will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at 10AM and pray for all our veterans, living and deceased.  Immediately following the Mass, the historical marker will be unveiled, blessed and dedicated in front of the church. There will be a reception after the unveiling in the cafeteria.

The Louisiana Historical Marker program commemorates facts, persons, events, and places prominently identified with the history of the nation, state, or region. Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church is proud to have been selected for this honor.

Everyone is invited to this event.
