Sabine Freestate Festival Talent Competition will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd at 6:30 pm at the Florien Auditorium. The winner will perform at the Freestate Festival on Sunday, November 7th at 4 pm.

Sabine Parish Library invites you to Book to Art on Tuesday, November 2nd at 5:00 pm. The group will be discussing The Kitchen Front by Jennifer Ryan.
Sabine Freestate Festival Texas Hold’em Tournament will be held on Friday, November 5th at 8:15 pm.

The Sabine Freestate Festival celebrates the period in Western Louisiana’s history, when, in 1806 this region was declared the “Neutral Strip” pending settlement of a dispute between Spain and the United States as to the locations of the western boundary of the Louisiana Purchase. Legends and facts that have come down to us regarding this time in our history are the reason for the Sabine Freestate Festival. Activities include a western shootout, games, skeet shoot, pioneer demonstrations, parade, treasure hunt, and music. The Festival is held in downtown Florien, Louisiana.
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute will be at the Sabine Freestate Festival from November 5th -7th.

The Choctaw Apache Tribe of Ebarb will host the Veterans Powwow & Native American Art Fest on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Tribal grounds.
VENDORS welcome! Cost per booth is $75. Deadline to submit your payment is November 1, 2021. Payment can be made by mail, in person or PayPal. The festival features arts and crafts, a veteran’s powwow, demonstrations, art walk, tribal dancing, games, Native American mass & dinner. Competions for CASH & trophies include wildgame cook off, youth & adult art contest, tribal food cook off & tribal hunting club challenge. Entry fee is $20 per dish & club.
This is a drug free & alcohol free event. No coolers allowed.
The 7th Annual Kelby Dodge Pilcher Super Hero 5K will be held Saturday, November 6th at the KDP Memorial Playground in Florien.
Registration begins at 7:30 am ath the playground. Cost to register and receive a KDP Memorial t-shirt is $25. All proceeds go to the upgrading & maintaining of the KDP Memorial Playground.
Non-runners can also purchase a t-shirt to help support the playground.

Sabine Freestate Festival Skeet Shooting Competition will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 2:00 pm. Registration is inside the General Store. Registration fee is $15 (cash only).
