Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office Unit involved in wreck with another vehicle

MANY, La – Shortly before 2:30PM this afternoon, a Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office Unit was involved in a crash with another vehicle on US Highway 171 in front of Walmart in Many.
 
Initial observations revealed a 2017 Honda Ridgeline driven by a white male failed to yield at the crossover to the entrance of Walmart. The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, occupied by three Sheriff Detectives, was headed south and struck the Honda truck on its passenger side.The driver of the Honda truck and two Detectives were taken to Sabine Medical Center for treatment of minor/moderate injuries.
 
One Detective has been released from S.M.C. The driver of the Honda truck and other Detective will be taken to Rapides Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The Detective has a fractured left arm in three places. We were unable to obtain the exact condition of the driver of the Honda truck.
Louisiana State Police Troop E is the lead investigator of the crash.
 
No other information or names will be released at this time.
