Sabine Parish School Board to Live Stream Superintendent Interviews

MANY, La – The Sabine Parish School Board has announced the next steps in the selection process in the search for a new superintendent. The open application process has now been narrowed down to two candidates. Their resumes were previously shared on the Sabine Parish Journal and can be found here.

The Sabine Parish School Board will interview the candidates for superintendent on Monday, September 20, 2021 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Sabine Parish School Board office. These interviews will be live streamed.

The Sabine Parish School Board has made the following announcement in regards to the continued search for the next superintendent.

“The Sabine Parish School Board continues its search for a superintendent to fill that position following the retirement of its current superintendent, Dr. Sarah P. Ebarb, on December 31, 2021. The School Board has advertised the vacancy in numerous locations with a deadline for applications of September 3, 2021. 

The applications received by the School Board in accordance with that deadline were opened today. There were two qualified applicants for the position. One was Shane Wright, Director of Administrative Services for the School Board, and the other was Eddie Jones, Jr., Principal of Florien High School. Copies of the applications submitted by Mr. Wright and Mr. Jones may be viewed on the District’s website @ sabine.school.

The School Board has a meeting scheduled for September 13, 2021 during which the next steps in the superintendent selection process will be determined.”
