Sabine Parish Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness Shares Recent Covid Numbers

The COVID-19 numbers are rising as adults between the ages 18-29 are accounting for more cases than previously represented in the first round of COVID spikes. According to the Sabine Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness, at the end of July ages 18-29 accounted for the highest increase of active cases, followed by ages 30-39. The lowest was ages 0-4 then 60 up. (Highest percent vaccinated are ages 60 and up)

Vaccination percentage by race in Sabine Parish was 69.47% White, 16.32% Black, and 14.21% other.

Sabine parish continues to have one of the lowest percentages of vaccinated individuals within the Region 7 area of Louisiana. 
 
All individuals are encouraged to continue to social distance and take sanitization precautions while also following the current mask mandate for the State of Louisiana.
