Sabine Parish School Board Addresses Mask Mandate for the Start of the 2021-2022 School Year

On Tuesday, August 3rd, The Sabine Parish School Board announced the temporary mask mandate issued by Governor Edwards and how it would play into the school environment.

“We had great hope that our school year would start in a normal fashion; however, Louisiana reinstated the mask mandate for anyone 5 years or older inside school buildings and on school buses. As we get updates, we will post the information.

Although this is not what any of us wanted, we will work hard to make sure that our students are in safe and positive learning environments. We look forward to the return of our students and staff.
School starts on Tuesday, August 10th for students . See you Tuesday!”
