Sabine Parish School Board Lifts Mask Mandate

Sabine Parish School Board has announced their decision to lift the mask mandate as per the Governors statewide mandate being lifted.

In an announcement made on June 2nd, Sabine Parish School Board let parents and teachers know that starting with the 2021 SOAR summer school program, and carrying on into the school year, masks will no longer be a requirement.

Governor Edwards has lifted the mask mandate for all schools in Louisiana effective at the end of the regular school year, or May 28, 2021 for Sabine Parish.

All staff and students participating in SOAR, Sabine’s summer program, are NOT required to wear masks. However, masks may be worn by any staff or students who wish to wear them.

Information regarding masks for the 2021-2022 school year will be provided closer to the start of school. We appreciate all of our staff, students, and families for helping us follow the requirements of this past year.
