MANY, La – Apollo Plaza Apartment Manager Lisa Scaife hosted the May monthly birthday celebration this afternoon.
Ms Lisa cooked hamburgers & hotdogs, chips and a birthday cake. The Sheriff’s Office brought ice cold drinks, stickers and D.A.R.E. activities for the kids. Ms Lisa also provided a snowcone stand and others gave donations.
Sheriff Aaron Mitchell, Chief Detective Anthony Lowe Jr, Detective D.W. Seegers, Detective Lamar Thomas, Many Police Chief Cheryl Wooley, Asst Chief Kyle Cook, Sgt Stanley Cook and Officer Evan Eddington were in attendance.
Other Deputies and Officers were unable to attend due to a busy afternoon of numerous other calls for service. The job has to come first.
The biggest hit with the kids was Central Sabine Fire Department and the Fire Truck. The truck sprayed water for the kids to play in; they loved it.
Sheriff Mitchell said this is a great event for the kids each month and he was happy to be there to interact with the kids.
Sheriff Mitchell also greatly appreciates the job Ms Lisa is doing at Apollo Apartments.
